Description: Cultivars. Cream or yellow variegation along the leaf margins or centers, depending on the cultivar. Leaves remain stiff, dark green, and patterned with white markings; small terminal spines. Geometric rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) and slow to offset. Flower spike, at 15-25 years, can reach 10-14 feet tall. Pale yellow to cream blooms attract pollinators. Requires excellent drainage Tolerant of heat; drought but benefits from afternoon shade in hot or highly reflective sites. Perfect for containers, specimen plantings, and collectors' gardens where bold texture and contrast are emphasized.
