Description: Compact, ornamental cultivars/hybrids that typically combine fine, thread-edged foliage of Agave schidigera with other species for added color, form, or vigor. Leaves narrow to moderately broad, often marked with white filaments, marginal teeth, or variegation. Rosettes are tidy and symmetrical. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) and may offset depending on parentage. Flower spike can reach 8-012 feet tall after 80-15 years and bear blooms that attract pollinators. Best grown in full sun with excellent drainage; adaptable to heat. Check specific variety for cold care. Ideal for containers, rock gardens, and accent plantings in small xeric designs.
