Description: Adapted. Massive, tree-form with a stout, upright trunk and dense heads of long, narrow green leaves. Leaves are rigid but not dangerously sharp, making it more approachable than other large desert species. With age, it develops a branching habit and wide canopy. Late spring to early summer, produces flower spikes reaching 14-20ft H with large clusters of creamy white, bell-shaped blooms that attract pollinators. Deer tolerant. Thrives in full sun and sharply drained soils. Performs well as a grand architectural specimen or xeric landscape centerpiece where space allows.
