Description: Hybrid. Massive, sculptural tree aloe with stout trunk and upright, sword-like bluish foliage. Green tipped bright orange flowers appear intermittently spring through fall. Mature plants can tolerate brief dips to around 20F; its cold hardiness is marginally reliable in this zone, and young plants are especially vulnerable to frost damage. Best sited in a protected microclimate with excellent drainage. Ideal for collectors and experienced gardeners looking for a dramatic, drought-tolerant specimen.
