Description: Adapted. Slow-growing shrubby that can eventually develop into a small, branching trunk. Striking fan-shaped, blue-green leaves arranged in flat, symmetrical rows. Requires excellent drainage and protection from prolonged cold. Blooms, in late winter to early spring with tubular orange-red flowers that attract pollinators. Marginally cold-hardy and often performs best in a container or sheltered location. Architectural interest for dry gardens and pairs beautifully with contemporary or Mediterranean designs.
