Description: Unique, soft-leaved native of West Texas. Long, narrow green leaves arch and curl like squid tentacles, giving it a fountain-like form. Lacks sharp teeth or spines, making it one of the most user-friendly agaves. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but offsets freely, creating a mounding colony. Flower spike, at 10-15 years, can reach 8-12 feet tall. Creamy white blooms attract pollinators. Performs well in filtered light or partial shade, especially in hotter climates. Excellent for containers, shaded borders, and soft-textured xeric designs.
