Description: Native of West Texas. Cold-hardy. Broad, thick silver-blue leaves lined with dark, prominent teeth; tipped with dark terminal spine. More robust and larger than other parryi forms. Tight, symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) and offsets moderately. Flower spike, at 10-20 years, can reach 12-15 feet tall. Yellow blooms attract pollinators. Requires excellent drainage; well adapted to both heat and cold. Ideal for containers, arid landscapes, or high-impact xeric focal points.
