Description: Adapted. Smooth, pliable, pale green to blue-green leaves; marginal teeth or terminal spine. Soft symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but produces many offsets, forming attractive clumps over time. Flower spike at 10-15 years, arching gracefully in a curved form (foxtail-like) up to 10 feet tall. Pale yellow to greenish-white flowers attract pollinators. Benefits from afternoon shade in hot or reflected sites. Requires protection from frost and prefers good drainage with occasional deep watering. Ideal for containers, tropical-style plantings, or shaded courtyards.
