Description: Adapted. Deep green, upright leaves lined with large, hooked teeth; tipped with long, dark spines. Symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but produces numerous offsets, forming a colony over time. The flower spike, at 12-20 years, can reach 20-25 feet tall. Yellow-green blooms attract pollinators. Extremely drought; heat-tolerant; thrives in full sun and reflected light. Well-suited to large-scale xeric landscapes, southwestern designs, or as a striking focal point in dry gardens.
