Description: Cultivar. Broad, upright, blue-gray leaves edged in teeth, tipped with a sharp spine. Symmetrical loose rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but produces many offsets around the base. Flower spike, after 10-20 years, can reach 15-20 feet tall. Yellow blooms attract pollinators. Heat; drought tolerant; vulnerable to rot in poorly drained soils; during prolonged cold, wet winters. Best in full sun; sharp drainage; winter protection from excessive moisture. Well-suited for xeric landscapes, containers, or as a dramatic focal point in low-water gardens.
