Description: Miniature cultivar. Stiff, dark green leaves bordered by wide creamy-yellow margins; tipped with a sharp spine. Dense, symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but offsets readily, forming attractive clusters. The flower spike, at 8-12 years, can reach 6-8 feet tall. Yellow blooms attract pollinators. Tolerant of heat; drought; benefits from afternoon shade in hot; highly reflective sites. Requires excellent drainage; benefits from protection during extended cold; wet winter conditions. Ideal for containers, rock gardens, or foreground plantings where color and compact form are desired.
