Botanical Name: Yucca rigida
Mature Size: 10-15ft H, 4-6ft W
Light Requirement: Sun
Water Need: Very Low
Cold Hardiness: Zone 7 (0 to 5F) to 10 (30 to 35F)
Description: Adapted. Striking, trunk-forming with rigid, powdery blue-gray leaves arranged in symmetrical rosettes. Leaves are broad, flat, and sharply pointed, with a glaucous coating that intensifies in full sun. Over time, develops a solitary or lightly branching trunk. In late spring, a bold flower spike rising 12-15ft H with large clusters of creamy white blooms that attract pollinators. Fibrous, stiff foliage makes it highly deer tolerant. Requires full sun and excellent drainage, and thrives in hot, arid conditions. Performs well as a dramatic vertical accent or bold specimen in dry landscapes.
