Description: Adapted. Fast-growing, twining vine; heart-shaped leaves; masses of 1-2 in. flowers in shades of orange, yellow, white, or apricot, each with a contrasting dark eye. Blooms continuously from late spring until frost. Pollinators like bees and butterflies do visit. Frost-tender; grown as summer annual, though it can overwinter in very protected microclimates. Prefers well-drained soil, regular irrigation, and protection from prolonged drought stress for best flowering. Non-invasive and easy-care, responding well to light pruning to encourage density. Excellent for quick, colorful coverage on small trellises, fences, hanging baskets, or container supports.
