Description: Native and Cultivar forms of twining perennial vine. Exotic, fringed blooms. Fragrant flowers appear late spring into fall, attracting bees and serving as a primary larval host for Gulf fritillary and zebra longwing butterflies. Deciduous, dying back to the ground in winter and regrowing vigorously in spring. Can produce 8-12ft H growth in a single season. Warm, irrigated sites may reach the high end of range; low-water conditions; plants remain more compact.  Prefers well-drained soil and will tolerate drought once established, though flowering improves with deep, occasional watering. Deer resistant. Ideal for quickly covering trellises, arbors, fences, or pergolas or large containers with sturdy supports. Civano Premium Brand.
