Description: Adapted.  Unusual, slow-growing succulent with a woody, swollen caudex (base) resembling an elephant's foot. Vining stems with heart-shaped leaves emerge seasonally, typically in fall through spring. During summer dormancy, it is deciduous and prefers well-drained soil and dry conditions. Protect from frost and overwatering. Ideal for bright patios, greenhouses, or sunny windows with good airflow.
