Description: Adapted cycad. Typically trunkless. Compact rosette with stiff, feather-like fronds, somewhat finer than the Sago but also more cold-sensitive. Very slow-growing. Foliage often burns back fully in freezes but crowns may survive with protection. Drought tolerant once established. Afternoon shade recommended. Deer resistant. All parts are highly toxic if ingested. Best grown in containers.
