Description: Adapted. Slender, straight trunk; wide crown of long, feathery fronds. Fast growth but cold-sensitive. Summer, creamy-yellow flowers appear in long, pendulous clusters, followed by masses of small, orange fruits that litter the ground and may attract nuisance pests. Wind-pollinated. Deer resistant. Best used in containers that can be oved indoors or as short-term tropical accents where occasional freeze loss is acceptable.
