Description: Adapted. Cold-hardy feather palm. Stout, solitary trunk; full crown of long, arching fronds in shades of blue-green to gray-green. Growth is slow but steady. Summer, fragrant yellowish flowers; followed by orange, jelly-like fruits that may litter the ground but are sometimes used for preserves and enjoyed by birds. Wind-pollinated. High salt tolerance, one of the most salt-tolerant feather palms. Deer resistant. Use as a specimen tree or in small groupings where bold, tropical form and cool-toned foliage can stand out.
