Wind pollinated. While it tolerates some drought once established, it prefers consistent moisture and looks its best in areas with supplemental irrigation or near water features. Deer resistant. Best in sheltered courtyards, near heat-retaining walls, or as a container specimen that can be moved or wrapped.
