Description: Many varieties of apple trees exist. Varieties that do not require a high number of winter "chill" hours are best for our area. Trees are almost always grafted onto an understock which influences how big the tree will grow. Semi dwarf rootstocks are a good fit for our area. Self-pollination is variety dependent. Most apple trees benefit from an additional pollinator around which can include crabapples. Multiple varieties grafted on 1 tree in Espalier form.
