Description: Adapted. Clumping. Powdery blue-gray culms; upright, vase-shaped form. New canes bluish wax coating fading slightly with age but retaining soft, cool-toned appearance. Leaves medium green; slightly drooping. Best with regular watering during hot, dry months. Protect from afternoon sun for best coloration and winter mulch for root protection. In containers 12-20ft H, 3-5ft W. Responds well to pruning; to control height; lower leaves or branches can be removed. Narrow screening in modern landscapes.
