Description: Cultivar. Arched blue-green leaves; bold golden-yellow central stripe; finely toothed margins; ending in sharp spine. Symmetrical rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) but produces occasional offsets. Flower spike, at 10-20 years, can reach 15-20 feet tall. Yellow blooms attract pollinators. Tolerant of heat; drought but benefits from afternoon shade in hot; highly reflective sites. Requires excellent drainage; protect during prolonged cold; wet winter conditions. Ideal for containers, accent plantings, or brightly colored focal points in xeric designs.
