Description: Any one of several upright and columnar evergreens that prefer partial to full shade in Austin. Fine textured soft needles emerge bright green in the spring before turning dark green to match the older foliage as the season progresses. Insignificant flowers bring red fruit from early to late fall.  At least one variety has yellow foliage. Some toxicity to humans and animals. Use in hedging or as an accent.  Suitable for containers.
