Description: Cultivar. Deciduous, leafing out in late spring. Twining stems climb readily but are less aggressive than Asian species. Fragrant clusters lavender-purple flowers late spring with sporadic rebloom through summer. Attractive to pollinators. Heat- and humidity-tolerant, with good drought resistance once established, though blooms best with moderate moisture. Partial shade helpful if placed in exposed areas. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage rebloom. Deer resistant. Excellent for smaller structures or gardens needing the wisteria look without the invasive growth habit of Asian types.
