Description: A deciduous vine with an American origin. The flowers, suspended from the branches, appear at about the same time as the foliage. Blooms are fragrant, blue purple, with yellow eyes, and are attractive to pollinators. New leaves emmerge bronze, turning green, then yellow in the fall. Fast growing and woody. Prunr, after flowering, to control growth. Prefers somewhat acidic soil. Use for hedging and screening.
