Description: A deciduous perennial native to the tall grass prairie and a hands down favorite of pollinators. This plant has smooth stiff upright stems coming from a basal rosette with 10 to 20-inch bluish green leaves coming from the same clump. Flowers form atop the stem in mid to late summer are orb shaped and greenish white. The plant has a large taproot common among natives of tall grass prairies. It will also self-seed. High drought tolerance once established.
