Description: Several compact, drought-tolerant evergreen shrubs native or cultivars of natives to West Texas. Silvery foliage and colorful blooms appear after rain or high humidity. Compact varieties are slow to moderate growers. Thrive in full sun, require very well-drained soil and need little supplemental irrigation once established. Attracts pollinators and hummingbirds. Prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. Deer resistant and salt tolerant. Excellent heat tolerance and low maintenance make them ideal for xeriscapes and low-input landscapes. well-suited for foundation plantings, low hedges, or waterwise borders.
