Description: Adapted. Succulent rosettes with waxy, spoon-shaped leaves in hues of green/ burgundy/variegated tones. Thicker, hardier leaves compared to Echeveria; rosettes atop tall, sometimes branching stems; shrubby habit cool-season growth with some varieties deciduous or semi-dormant in heat. Filtered shade or morning sun and afternoon shade to avoid leaf scorch and dehydration in summer. Prefer milder temperatures and more frequent moisture during their growth cycle. More active in cool seasons. Treat as annuals or grow in containers and bring indoors during freezes.
