Description: Native. Iconic. Forms dense, symmetrical rosette of silvery blue, serrated leaves that curve outward with a radial, fountain-like form. Narrow flower spike up to 10-15ft H may appear in summer on mature plants, typically after several years, and is highly attractive to pollinators. May develop a short trunk over time in older specimens. Thrives in full sun and rocky, sharply drained soils. Extremely heat- and drought-tolerant, evergreen in mild winters, and deer-resistant. Excellent as a sculptural focal point or xeric design anchor.
