Description: Small short-lived compact evergreen shrub, native to the Mediterranean and well adapted to Texas. Fine textured. The foliage is either green or greenish gray and aromatic. Small yellow button shape flowers spring to early summer. Green is hardier than gray. Great in summer heat but does not like humidity or wet feet. Butterflies like it. Deer do not. Drought tolerant. Salt tolerant.
