Description: A lily looking plant with origins in South Africa and many hybrids forms now widely available. The foliage is grass-like and rises from a spreading basal rosette. Flowers, looking like mini torches, are held on stalks above the foliage and come in a range of colors from yellow through orange and red, depending on the variety. The long-lasting blooms also range in timing from late spring through summer. These plants need well-draining soil and a bit of compost. Not bothered by deer or rabbits.
