Description: Grown as annual in Austin. Striking low-growing ornamental plant, has rich burgundy-purple foliage with a compact, mounding habit. It provides vibrant groundcover or edging color in garden beds and containers. Performs best in full sun with regular moisture and more sun will equal more intense purple color. Although not frost-tolerant, it grows quickly and can be replanted annually. Pinch to encourage fullness and prevent legginess.
