Description: Originally a native of grasslands in North America but now naturalized. A deciduous low growing and spreading herbaceous wildflower. The 2inch wide flowers are white to pink, blooming in spring, and are a nectar source. The plant often goes dormant in summer but will come back again with fall rains. Excellent as a ground cover in a wide variety of soils. It will tolerate shade but will not flower. It does not tolerate dry soil. Deer resistant.
