Description: A slow growing shrubby, evergreen palm, native to Florida and adapted to Texas. Fan shaped leaves are spikey, with coloring ranging from silver white to muted blue green, to green. The multi trunked plant can in older years become a small tree with an extensive root system. Fragrant, cream-colored flowers in mid spring are followed by dark purple edible fruit. Salt tolerant and high deer resistance. Excellent for hedging
