Description: A slow growing, South American native evergreen palm.
Feathery, greenish-gray fronds atop a heavy trunk. Flowers are a tiny light yellow to reddish color on 3-to-4-foot inflorescences. They produce clusters of pineapple flavored, yellow edible fruits. Drought tolerance once established. Pindo Palms tolerate parking lot conditions and smaller spaces but should be given some afternoon shade.
