Description: Adapted succulent. Upright, gray-green trunk covered with sharp spines, topped by a rosette of long, narrow, glossy leaves. White, frangipani-like flowers may appear in summer on mature plants. Flowers can attract occasional insects. Highly drought-tolerant once established. Thrives in hot, dry conditions with well-drained soil. Deer resistant. Use as bold container specimen for architectural accent in xeric designs where it can be moved indoors during winter.
