Description: Medium size, deciduous tree native to Texas. Prefers slightly drier soil than Acer rubrum varieties and fall foliage may be red but more likely to be yellow. Red May blooms are followed by red Samaras on the female trees. Birds and insects are attracted to these trees which are not deer tolerant.
