Description: Adapted. Low-growing, spreading succulent known for its dense mat of fleshy, cylindrical leaves and vivid, daisy-like blooms from spring through fall. Flowers open in full sun and come in brilliant shades ranging from yellow and orange to magenta and lavender. Extremely drought-tolerant and thrives in hot, dry conditions with excellent drainage. Attracts pollinators when blooming. Cold-hardy selections thrive in Austin with minimal care as long as winter drainage is excellent. Performs well in borders, rock gardens, containers, or spilling over retaining walls.
