Description: One of the world's oldest deciduous trees and originating in what is now China. Fan-shaped leaves turn golden yellow in fall. Many varieties and sizes, including grafted dwarfs, of this slow-growing tree exist but most often planted in Texas is the large male form Hubbard. Females are rarely planted; males are common the nursery trade. Very sturdy tree.
