Description: An evergreen native to Texas with glossy green leaves that display shades of pink in spring and maroon after frost. The leaves drop in spring and are replaced quickly. On female plants, greenish white summer flowers are followed by clusters of red fruit value by wildlife in September. Often used to make a hedge, sometimes a single tree. Full sun will mean a fuller plant. Drought and deer tolerance once established.
