Description: Adapted. Semi evergreen. Compact, mounding with thick gray-green stems and seasonal yellow-green bracts that bloom in spring attracting small pollinators such as native bees and flies. Cold-hardy and reliable in Austin gardens with well-drained soil. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance. May reseed lightly in disturbed areas. Ideal for rock gardens, xeric borders, or slopes.  Best used for structural foliage and soft color contrast in Mediterranean or drought-tolerant plantings.
