Description: Large deciduous tree resembling an evergreen. Native to Rio Grande Valley of Texas and areas further south. Bronze colored foliage exhibited in fall and periods of drought stress. However, faster growing and better in dry conditions than Bald Cypress. Requires deep soil and moist conditions, thriving around ponds. Somewhat less cold tolerant than Bald Cypress as well.
