Description: A bushy, evergreen perennial native to parts of the US Sonoran Desert and Mexico and well adapted to Texas. Stems and leaves are dark green and tiny. Flowers are large, compared to the plant, gold, and attractive to pollinators. Blooms in spring and fall with fall blooms the heaviest. Plant is scented of marigold, lemon, and mint which is one reason deer avoid it. Tolerates thin soil and once established, is drought tolerant.
