Description: Adapted. Multi-stemmed, columnar cactus of the Sonoran Desert, typically forming upright clusters resembling organ pipes. White, funnel-shaped flowers bloom at night in late spring to summer and are pollinated by bats and moths. Edible red fruit follows. Full sun, excellent drainage, and protect from freezing temperatures. May be grown in large containers or warm microclimates with winter cover. Best used as a dramatic vertical accent in xeric, southwestern, or desert-style landscapes.
