Description: Very slow growing. Fine white hairs on a columnar cactus native to northern Mexico and adapted to Texas. Beneath these radials spines are larger, yellow sharp central spines. As plant ages, patches without white hair appear. Flowers bloom on plants at least 10 years old, at night and can be red, yellow, or white. Often grown as a houseplant. Over 200 years, this cactus may reach 50ft high in the wild.
