Description: Cultivar/adapted form. Highly variable sculptural variation of Cereus peruvianus featuring irregular, knobby, and twisted blue-green stems with deeply furrowed ribs. Slower growing with more branching. Large white flowers may appear at night, attracting pollinators, and edible apple-like fruit may occasionally be produced. Water needs range from low to moderate. During the growing season (spring to fall), it benefits from deep watering every 7-10 days, especially in containers or extreme heat. Keep soil dry in winter to prevent rot. Performs best in full sun with excellent drainage. Requires winter cover or relocation during hard freezes. Ideal for containers or protected raised beds where its unique form provides architectural interest.
