Description: Large shrub or small tree, native to many areas of Texas. Rarely gets taller than 15ft in much of our area. Leaves are large, glossy dark green with whiteish underside, and tend to drop by late summer. Depending on area showy blooms can be yellow, red, or something in between. These are followed by large light brown fruit. Parts of tree are poisonous. Very deer resistant.
