Description: Adapted. Clumping. Fast-growing. Upright. Thick foliage; tolerance to wind, heat, and sandy or limestone soils. Originally selected for coastal conditions; thrives in full sun with moderate irrigation; can adapt to partial shade; reduced vigor. In containers 12-15ft H, 4-5ft W. If grown in ground, winter mulch for root protection. Responds well to pruning and height control. Tall, dense privacy screens and windbreaks. Marginally hardy in Austin.
