Description: Adapted. Running. Glossy black culms darkening with age and sun exposure. Slower to mature in color than Golden Running. Tall, arching and open. Requires containment. Best suited for filtered sun or morning sun with afternoon shade. Responds well to thinning and topping for structural definition or height control. Container specimen in stylized; modern designs on decks or commercial entries, especially where space is limited but drama is desired.
