Description: Adapted. Cold-hardy. Broad, upright green leaves; often with subtle bud imprinting; lined with small, evenly spaced teeth. Symmetrical, vertical solitary rosette. Monocarpic (dies after flowering) rarely offsets. Flower spike, at 10-20 years, can reach 12-15 feet tall. Greenish-yellow blooms attract pollinators. Exceptionally tolerant of cold; wet conditions compared to most agave. Well-suited for unprotected landscapes. Ideal for naturalistic, woodland-edge, or high-elevation-inspired xeric plantings.
