Description: Evergreen form native to the Chihuahuan desert of Mexico. Leaves are curving, greenish-gray, very rough, with heavy spines along edges and tip. At maturity, about 10 to 25 years old, yellow flowers appear on a stalk that can reach 19ft high above base. At the time of flowering, the main plant will die but normally produces small offshoots at the base.
